Stacey Landfield
Stacey Landfield has been painting since age five. Her mother was very encouraging of her creative efforts. Painting is a meditation for her, a disconnect from the material world and a connection to spirit. Stacey paints acrylic on board, usually featuring animals and nature. Her desire is to encourage people to appreciate the emotional world of animals. Her artwork is well known and very much appreciated by the public and the art community. Stacey's artwork representing the Equestrian Olympics was chosen twice to appear on billboards in Temecula, California in 2002 and 2003. A famous celebrity, Diane Warren purchased one of Stacey's painting, one of her proudest moments in her artistic career. Diane Warren is a songwriter and recipient of awards including a Golden Globe, a Grammy, an Emmy, and songwriter of the year. She won nine Academy Awards and is in the Songwriter's Hall of Fame. The painting Diane bought from Stacey is of a piglet alone on a cliff in the night, gazing at the moon. The title is “The Least Among You,” referring to when Jesus said, “As you have done it to the least among you, you have done it unto me.” The painting is Stacey's call to emphasize the mistreatment of pigs raised for slaughter, and represents both Diane's and Stacey's activism for animal rights.
Diane Warren's appreciation of Stacey's art is a flattering highlight of her career, especially since Stacey and Diane share the same perspective on animal rights. They see no difference in the value of the human animal and non-human animal. They support the belief that we are all deserving of equal consideration for a natural and happy life. Both Diane and Stacey are very concerned about the normalized mistreatment of farm animals, and the misinformation about the dietary need to eat meat.
Stacey Landfield is a talented and successful artist who has created meaningful art all of her life. She is an advocate of animal rights and reflects her love and concern for animals in her art.
Stacey is happily married and the mother of two sons. Her other creative outlets are gardening, cooking and home improvements. Stacey is an equine body worker and enjoys anything to do with horses, as well as hiking, and doing nothing at all.
