Lisa Chapparosa
Lisa Chapparosa has been making indigenous art for over twenty years. Beginning with peyote stitch pens, she soon branched out into making jewelry using a variety of beading techniques.
Lisa's limitless creativity is evident in the different shapes, styles, and color combinations of her pieces. Inspired by the holidays, she creates beaded earrings, medallions, feathers, wristlets, necklaces and more. Her favorite items to make are cabochon earrings -- those with a decorative center that she then beads around, adding gems and embellishments. She also loves to bead graduation caps because she is creating unique, precious memorabilia that reflects the graduate's identity and then becomes a lifetime reminder of their accomplishment.
An effective teacher of her craft, Lisa is the Youth and Educational Coordinator for Los Coyotes Band of Cahuilla and Cupeno Indians. She has a devoted following on social media and welcomes custom orders.
