Krisi Svenneby is a jewelry artist specializing in one-of-a-kind, genuine gemstone jewelry. A California native, Krisi is a lifelong artist -- drawing, painting, block printing, silk screening, pottery, glass etching, hand painting clothing, and more. The one art form that has been an unwavering constant throughout her life is jewelry making: As a teenager, she began making jewelry for herself, upcycling vintage jewelry. As she got older, her creations blossomed into gemstone pieces using a variety of techniques including beadwork, hand knotting, and hand wrapping using precious metals (sterling silver, gold fill and bronze). She spent 35 years in the retail fashion industry before becoming a full-time artist and regular at SoCal art and craft shows.

Krisi is inspired by the natural beauty of our area, especially the geology. (She is known to come back from hikes with pockets full of rocks!) The stones she uses in her jewelry creations are sourced from all over the globe. Most recently, she has relied on a few reputable lapidaries in Jaipur, India where the stone cutting has been passed down through the generations resulting in high quality stones and some truly unusual cuts. Krisi thrives on taking these raw materials and creating beautiful, unique pieces with her two hands and limitless imagination.The possibilities are endless as she continually explores new ideas, skills, and techniques.
