Leah Hall
Leah Hall brings a unique perspective to the local art scene. Leah has a BFA in Illustration from 2006 from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, and a SPED teaching licence from 2009 from University of Colorado Denver. Her background as an illustrator and teacher for over 20 years allows her to capture stories through engaging visual designs. Leah is very passionate about young children having access to books and creative activities, and to share the therapeutic powers of art to people of all ages.
She has an Etsy store, where she sells her original artwork and poster prints.
She also currently has two coloring books published on Amazon and is looking to add more to her portfolio soon. Of the two coloring books, one is for children and the other for adults. Looking over the designs, one can see the passion Leah has for animals and nature, and how that plays a role in her creativity and designs.
She has a children’s book she recently illustrated titled "Winter and Her Sisters". This is the first of a four-book series she plans to illustrate for author Anita Mariotti.
When Leah isn’t illustrating for other authors, she also continues to work on her own graphic novel release, which will be titled "Witness to a Murder." Which she hopes to release later this year. This graphic novel centers on a crow with a strong sense of justice who witnesses a crime and decides to get involved by leaving clues to help humans catch the responsible criminal. With over 100 pages of illustration for this graphic novel, Leah certainly has her hands full with artistic and creative projects.
Creating art is a highly personal process, yet it thrives on public connection. When local artists share their work, they provide a space for residents to gather, reflect, and share common experiences. Leah’s creative pieces invite viewers to pause and appreciate the world around them.
Beyond her personal portfolio, Leah is deeply involved in fostering creativity throughout Menifee, and her other neighboring cities. She serves as an active member of the Arts Council Menifee and Warner Springs Artist Guild. These organizations work tirelessly to promote local talent and organize events that bring the community together.
Civic participation takes many forms. For Leah, it means advocating for the arts and ensuring that creative voices have a platform in our growing cities. These events offer a wonderful opportunity for families and individuals to connect with their neighbors while supporting local creators.
