Janene Anderson
Janene Edmisten is a mixed media artist, furniture maker, and creator of goat milk soaps and lotions.
Thanks to her parent's art store in Torrance CA, she literally grew up in the art industry, learning multiple media (acrylic, ceramics, glass painting and more), which she has pursued throughout her life.
When Janene acquired a three-acre farm, her creativity turned to refurbishing furniture and making farm decor from barn woods, canvases, and pallets. She also started teaching others through classes and paint-and-sip events.
Motivated by her granddaughter's autoimmune disease, she was inspired to make natural soap and skin-care products from her goats' milk. After working five years as a vet tech, Janene decided to go full force into the farm, breeding Nubian goats and chickens. Soap is both an art and a science for her and she sells out of every batch when they are released.
Janene believes the success of her goats' milk products is because people appreciate knowing exactly what's in it, where they come from, and what’s behind it. So she's opened her farm up, offering tours and educational classes. To learn more -- and to meet the herd .
