Brenda Ellis
Brenda Ellis, a native of Cape Cod, is an oil painter and fiber artist. She has been painting for over 40 years. She grew up near the ocean, surrounded by its beauty and wonder, influencing her art since early childhood. Mermaids being her passion, she also loves painting the human figure and animals.
Brenda started selling her art and painting furniture in her first shop, the Painted Mermaid located on Cape Cod. Upon moving to Maine for a larger workspace, the Painted Mermaid Gallery was born. It featured her mermaid art along with artwork by 50 artists and artisans. Then, the Painted Mermaid Studio was added to teach rug hooking from 2010 to 2019. Currently she is an active member of the North County Woolgatherers of Fallbrook, CA.
Now based in Aguanga, CA, Brenda paints passionately with her oils and works with her hand-dyed wools to create her art on both linen and canvas.
